Street Teams
with
Pastor Jess

Street Team Sign-Up
Street Teams are not for everyone, so read below to see if you'd like to join.  Signing up is only expressing interest.  As we have a list, we'll provide check-ins and due dates for you to demonstrate you've taken your First Aid and Narcan trainings, ask for your background check form, create a time where we share the books we've read/listened to, create a time for the 6 hours of in-person training, a day/time that we can consistently be around for the walks, and schedule our Kick-Off Walk surrounded by prayer from the other teams.  We are hopeful that enough people will start this process that if your life changes and you ultimately can't meet the requirements to join the team, others will be there to move ahead.  Are you read to get started?

BackPack Teams
 with
Emily

Backpack team sign-up
Are you more of a behind the scenes person?  Emily is in charge of our backpack team.  These volunteers will collect supplies, fund raise, ask for donations from companies, monitor supplies, and fill backpacks.  They also provide material and prayer support to the street teams.

On the days and times of the walks, at least one backpack team person will stay in our room at Avondale Park and hand out backpacks to the street teams, as well as cover the street team with prayer.

This team will also provide drinks and snacks for the street team on the days of the walks.

Community engagement

Niles

CE Team Sign-Up
The Community Engagement team will receive training in fundraising, relationship building, and storytelling.  The Team Leader will work with the volunteers to be sure that someone from this team will be at all community events. Everyone from this team will closely follow the Avondale Neighborhood Facebook page and communicate about events through a shared cloud based online space. They will also make social media posts that help tell the story and mission of Faith on Foot.  Finally, this team will form relationships with the local police by sharing our work with them.  The goal is to have three people prepared to attend every event, so that if one person can't attend at the last minute, two others will be there.  For this program to be successful and sustainable, it needs to be dependent on a large number of people.
